The 14,500 SF facility is a single-story pre-engineered metal building that includes 5,125 SF of covered storage for equipment. The facility includes a recessed dock on the north side of the building that includes retaining walls on each side of the ramp. The floor slab is designed for forklift and stacked pallet loading. This project will double the size of the previous Oklahoma Foundation Seed Stocks facilities. The building includes a warehouse, cold room, machinery shed and four offices. The new complex is designed to not only accommodate the rapidly growing demand for high-quality, Certified Seed genetics that OFSS provides, but also allows for a greater diversity of products being developed by the Oklahoma State University scientists to reach producers. OFSS is a vital link between OSU’s world-class plant-breeding programs and an expansive network of certified dealers in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas.
