Started in 1898 as the Oklahoma Orphanage, Bethany Children’s Health Center has grown to an innovative leader in pediatric rehabilitation and 24-hour care facility. The need for this project arose, because the outpatient services recorded 11,466 patient visits and inpatient services recorded 9,705 patient visits. They were out growing their physical space. Bethany Children’s offers premier primary care, specialty services, therapies, and continuing discharge care, which are rare nationwide, let alone in Oklahoma. In some cases, Bethany Children’s will have equipment in Oklahoma that might only be found in a handful of hospitals across the country.
The new outpatient center will enable Bethany’s Children to reduce the growing waitlist for services which will allow children and teens to recover from debilitating traumatic injuries and illnesses. It will more than quadruple the current operating space. The $178 million, 200,000 square-foot, 4-story Outpatient Tower offers a unique design and serve as a landmark on historic Route 66 that will serve children and teens around the state and region.
